Don Mario makes a pact with a witch to save his son Omar. Forty years later, the witch returns to collect.
Forty years ago, Don Mario faced a desperate situation: his son Omar was on the brink of death. Searching for a way out, he turned to a witch and made a pact with her to save his son's life.
The terms were terrible: when Omar had a daughter and she turned fifteen, the witch would come to claim her.
As the years passed, the pact seemed forgotten. But four decades later Sarah, the daughter of Omar and Mercedes, reaches the age set in the agreement, and the debt of the past returns to haunt the family. The witch abducts Sarah to complete her ritual, and Omar and Mercedes must face a supernatural threat to rescue their daughter.
The story draws on the mythology and folk beliefs of the Dominican countryside. Ronny A. Sosa developed it over more than two years of research and writing, and the film was shot in San José de las Matas. It opened in cinemas across the Dominican Republic on 28 October 2021.
